Barry Bonds walked over to a group of fans Sunday, shrugged his shoulders, and openly apologized. "I'm trying, I'm trying," he said. "I want to do it for you guys. I want you guys to have the (home-run) ball. I don't want them to have it on the road." Yet, five hours later by the end of the Giants' 6-3 loss to the Dodgers nothing had changed.
